“My journey in EJ has been one of growth, resilience, and finding a sense of belonging in unexpected ways. Coming from the far west and being the only one from my JAE school, I initially found the environment unfamiliar and intimidating. However, over time, what once felt distant gradually became warm and comforting. This is a place I now call home.
What shaped my experience most were the people I met along the way. I was constantly inspired by individuals who were hardworking, kind, and passionate, and they taught me that it is not the “grade of the pencil, but the line it leaves” that truly matters. These encounters have left a lasting impact on who I am today.
Amid the challenges of the A-Level season, I also learned the importance of being kind to myself, a lesson that grounded me during stressful moments. Beyond academics, it is the simple, everyday experiences that I cherish most, such as sharing meals with friends, walking to lectures together, and finding joy in the ordinary.
Looking back, EJ has given me more than just an education; it has given me friendships, perspective, and a place where I truly feel at home.”
