Ma Yiling – Class of 2025
For Ma Yiling (24-U2), JC life seemed like a series of challenges lined up against her. Despite disappointments and difficulties, she impressed her peers and teachers with her grit. In everything that she did, she showed a real love for learning and a cheerful determination to live her best life, always embracing her lessons with a smile.
“My journey in Eunoia felt like a roller coaster ride – marked by both highs and lows, and the steady uphill climbs that often came before each peak. There were moments of stress and uncertainty, alongside an unexpected physical setback, but these challenges made the achievements and shared joys all the more meaningful. Looking back, I leave with bittersweet gratitude for the memories, friendships, and experiences that will stay with me long after this chapter closes, shaping who I become beyond Eunoia.
I hold immense gratitude for my friends, family, and teachers for their unwavering support during my time in Eunoia. Their constant encouragement and care truly allowed Eunoia to become a second home. Their belief in me, especially during challenging moments, reminded me that determination and a positive mindset can carry me through. And to those I hold close to my heart, thank you for always knowing how to make me crack a smile, bringing light to even the more challenging days, and for making my journey in EJ even more fulfilling and meaningful.
A feeling that remained constant throughout my time in Eunoia was fear — especially about the future. Over time, I realised that it is simply anticipation of the unknown. Instead of allowing it to hold me back, I learnt to let it push me forward. It is not something to eliminate, but something to grow with, reminding me that I am stepping into something new. It makes room for courage, and in embracing it, I found the confidence to move ahead. I hope to carry forward not the fear itself, but the courage it taught me to find.”
